Refurbishment and extension of East Bridgford Hill incorporating four new-build dwellings within the grounds.

The buildings and site at East Bridgford Hill are Grade II listed, on greenbelt land. Staniforth Architects worked closely with the client, planners and conservations team to design a scheme for the complete renovation and refurbishment of the main house and its outbuildings, along with proposals for four new-build dwellings in the landscape. The renovation secures what was considered a building at risk. The new houses within the grounds contrast with the old, employing well mannered, ordered, modern designs that carefully interact with the landscape and setting of the listed buildings. We are extremely proud to have achieved this level of intervention, nuance and balance within such a historic setting.
